Can this be count as a win? Or i was just lucky?

just skip to B214, as you can see, the opponent chose not to put anything down for about 3 moves. then the pieces managed to stay alive. winning me the game. if it didn't manage to do that i would have lost by 2 points. did i win this match? or not?

If you speak chinese you are very welcome to comment on my gameplay using chinese terminology, but even if you can't, any comment is welcome! im asking for general tips along with any other tips, basically any comment is welcome!

You won, the computer made some silly mistakes at the end. That doesn't take away your win, but it is one of the problems with playing gnugo on the weakest setting :)

If you use the computer programs this way (set to be as weak as you are) they will not be good learning tools. You shouldn't be playing the computer in equal games except perhaps the strongest programs at stronger (MCTS) settings and on adequate hardware. Even then you might see some silly moves at the end of the game when the program's only other realistic choice is "resign".

I suggest setting the program to be 2-3 stones stronger than you and then take that handicap. Yes the program will still be making mistakes but you will learn fewer bad habits as those mistakes will be at a higher level than you are yet at. As you improve, bump up the program's playing level.

Is it a win? Yes, sure.

Is is lucky? Yes. at this level of play, gnugo is pretty random, so the game is no longer one of skill, but of chance. Gnugo is pretty much just rolling dice in the background and rolled the equivalent "do not kill" 10 times in a row.

At the end of the game, there is a white group of 14 stones in atari, and has been for some time. There is no way the computer did not see that, detecting atari is a simple enough algorithm, but it just doesn't care. The dice didn't roll "defend" so it didn't defend.
