I'm starting a go club at my highschool and need to write the purpose of the club and a short description (less than 100 words). It has to be persuasive. Thanks for the help!

You want someone else to do it for you? Why can't you do it yourself?

I'm not saying that we're totally unhelpful, but you have to take the first step. Write your rough draft, post it here, and we'll offer constructive advice.

Try to make some sentences around the ideas of:

Have fun.
To play Go.
Learn something different.
New challenge.
Simple game with few rules.
As skill grows, difficulty grows.
One-to-one interaction.
Winning and losing grows social skills.
Explore something that is new to you, but has thousands of years of history.
Equally fair for girls, boys, fit and not so fit.



Hopefully that will get you started. Put an effort together and post it here. I'm sure someone will help you a bit, once you have helped yourself a bit.
