Front page of the site lagging

Post by jts »

The main page (http://www.lifein19x19.com) was taking a very long time to load tonight, apparently while trying to connect to http://www.promotego.org - has anyone else seen this problem?

Just now I saw it. It can probably be fixed rather quickly (albeit not tonight).

Issue is fixed. The problem was the old igolocal and goclub images. They have been removed and I will work on trying to pretty up the page as soon as I have something a little easier to code on that isn't a phone with just text... :rambo:
I'm thinking...

Thanks, Jordus, loads nicely now. Reminds me of how seldom I look here … quite a few interesting things there, TV :-o and Pro game SGF data base … WOW … and 361 blog & Sensei’s and more in the tabs below, never really noticed. I wonder people use the chat?

About the map … what do you think of perhaps linking to (or embedding? Izzat possible?) this (Google) World Go Clubs Map which also includes a layer for Go associations & Web Go (L19 included) and a layer for Go Players.

Greetings, and thanks again,

Tom
