I tried recording my games and 5/6 times I made a mistake on entering and couldn't correct it under the time pressure of a rated game.
Using SmartGo Pro (superseded by SmartGo Kifu) on an iPhone and while it's very good, when I inevitably misplace a stone by one location and discover it 30 moves later, by which time many stones would need to be shifted by one stone, it is very difficult to recover.
Anyone have any suggestions as to an iPhone program that might allow shifting a large group of stones, individually or window-selected, automatically updating the SGF being recorded?
This would greatly improve my kifu productivity.
Thanks!

If one or just a few stones are misplaced then you can easly edit it in SmartGo. Go to a wrong move, choose options menu, delete all wrong moves (line with red x), then select "insert 1" or "insert 2 moves" and play a correct moves. However if you want to move a whole part of a board - then as far as I know there is no such software available.

Go Eye handles this well.
See http://e-intuit.hk/goeye/help.html#help
"I found that I missed a step after finishing the input of a whole game. Do I need to remove all stones before the missing step and input again?
You don't need. Go Eye has a handy input mode to insert a stone in the middle. Step back right before the missing step. Tap the action menu at top right corner of the game view, choose "+Black" or "+White"to insert a stone at current step. When done, you can switch the input mode back to "Black" or "White" for normal input."

Even easier: In SmartGo Kifu, you can go to the wrongly placed move, tap and hold on that move until the feedback changes, then just drag the move to the correct location.lobotommy wrote:If one or just a few stones are misplaced then you can easly edit it in SmartGo. No way to drag a whole group of stones, sorry.
