This is a very serious question, how often would a usual go equipment website have a sale...I miss the black Friday on YMI and now is too tempted to overspend on Ebay...(That and I miss out on a really nice board with legs that sold for $152.50) . Now trying my best and gripping the seat so that I won't bid stupidly
How much are you hoping to save? 10%? 50%?
How long can you wait? A month? Two years?
How much do you want to spend? $100? $2,000?
Set your budget, start saving your money, watch the suppliers you like for their discounts and pull the trigger the instant something you want becomes available within your budget.
Are you planning on attending US Go Congress? Vendors can offer unique congress specials on certain items but not always (and you may only save shipping) or the offers may not be anything you want or need.
Realistically, go equipment is a micro niche of the huge market of intellectual board gaming; profits are small, sales volume is even smaller. If there's a board or a set of stones you are jonesing for, stop waiting and just buy them.

I play go, I ride a recumbent, of course I use Macintosh.
Thanks a lot Bogie-san, sometime I need a logical person to slap the slimy trout of reality in my face
Go congress is a far away destination for now though...i guess it's time to stop letting the good deal (on eBay at least) get away.
