Often one can see at top of the room list pro games at Tygem. But too often I just see the first 48 moves and then nothing happens. Do I have to bet or something to follow the whole game live or is this just for paid members?

Sometimes the game has not yet progressed farther than those 48 moves. Now, it could be that, if you're using the korean client, that it does want you to pay. If neither idea that I've put forward answers your question, then I would assume that your client may need to be reinstalled.
