Buying a goban in South Africa

General discussions about gobans, etc., go here. If you're selling go equipment, it should go in the Trading Post.

Buying a goban in South Africa

Post by Wolfhtt »

Hello everybody!
I was planning on buying my first go set, and I wanted to stay cheap. I took a look at the main sites which sell go equipment and i found some interesting products. The problem is that the shipping cost is extremely high (i currently live in South Africa). I was therefore wondering if there is some South African player here who could give me advice about the most convenient way to buy go equipment in SA.

Thank You in advance!

Hello,

Maybe you can try to contact a go club in south africa, maybe they have some material for sale... or can point you to a local dealer.

The South African Go Association sells cheap equipment. Please check out their page at http://www.sagoclubs.co.za. It's usually easiest to pick it up in person from one of the clubs - we have active clubs in Cape Town, Joburg, Pretoria and Stellenbosch. Alternatively, PM me, and I'll try and help you.
