Honinbo game 2

Looking at the Lee Gu Jubango on Wbaduk I also saw this game, game 2 of the Honinbo title match between Iyama Yuta 9p (white) and Ida Atsushi 7p (black). I presume it's the end of the first day and white looks in a spot of bother: how to sabaki those stones at the bottom?

Seeing white is Iyama, I'd be worried for that black group in the center-lower-left.

The lower left was a good point, but (unfortunately :sad: ) Black took the corner from White and therefore is now completely alive. White still has to make the second eye and, honestly, if I were Black, I'd destroy that option now. I don't see what Iyama is up to since I don't believe that he'll be able to kill any of the Black cutting stones.. :scratch: But I guess we'll see soon enough - maybe it's time for some "magic". ;-)

And magic happened.. Iyama won the game by resignation. I'll hav3 to take a closer look later to see where Ida went wrong (maybe alproaching the upper left was too much..?)
