How active must a permanent room be?

Post by Toge »

I've had a social room for chatting with my friends on KGS. Sadly I've found this room to have disappeared due to inactivity. Not many of my group of friends play go anymore and most of my own playing has been responding to challenges of other players. So the question I'm asking what are the conditions for keeping a permanent (senior admin approved) room in KGS?

For a room to remain active, there must be activity in it that is reasonable for a small club or study group: a certain smallish number of people in it and/or a certain smallish number of games played in it, at least once within a certain period of time.

The actual numbers are unclear.

Back when there were fewer Senior Admins, our own private room kept disappearing....

Couldn't you guys make it to where your own room wouldn't disappear? Seems reasonable enough for wms to do that for the admins.
