Meaning of a japanese character

Post by PeterHB »

What does the japanese character mean that I've scanned in the following .PDF attachment please?

( It is from the Nihon Ki-in Red cover book vol. 4. From the context it means something like 'extra problem', 'extra example', or 'Similar'. )

Hopefully I'll be able to add the answer to SL

Thanks in anticipation.

Your guess seems fine. I'd translate it as "similar question" (or "similar problem"). The reading is るいだい.
