That's not a bad idea. Even if it doesn't get media attention, it's always nice to teach more people how to play.

Just wanted to announce that Online Go Server (OGS) is taking part!
We will be holding a lot of totally free public lectures from Dans and SDKs alike, in total six official tournaments in all three categories (9x9, 13x13, 19x19) a cool drawing contest and a lot of other fancy stuff that will be announced in time!

It's September now and not so many events listed, although I do hear on various fora of quite a lot of people intending to set one up. I do hope more people will register their event at GGG, even if it's just a simple open house at the local club. Running an event (great!) but keeping it secret is only doing half the job as we want to be able to tell the media how much is going on as this will feed back to us all with better publicity. GGG has a fine initiative here so let's back him up with 100+ events!
