Hello!
I'm Chris from Richmond, Virginia, and I am pretty much brand new to Go. I learned the, er, rules as an undergraduate during/after reading Kawabata's The Master of Go but the game, like the novel, totally eluded me at the time. That was about twelve years ago. A recent conversation with a colleague re-sparked my interest and I've been soaking up everything I can run my eyes over.
This seems like a great community and reading through the threads has already helped me (a) understand some concepts and (b) decide which books/equipment to get. So I already owe this site my thanks, even before making a single post. I am sure I will have many more opportunities to say thank you now that I can post questions!

Hi Everyone
The Master said, To stuff oneself with food all day without worrying about anything, is difficult indeed! But what about weiqi players then? It is better to be one of them than to do nothing!
