Re: STOLEN!
It's not about your financial situation. It's just a spontaneous showing of support for someone we appreciate who can use a boost.
Patience, grasshopper.

Re: STOLEN!
Well, I'm happy with fwiffo deciding the most appropriate place for it to go in the context of what it is being raised for

We didn't do it based on the assumption that you deperately needed it. We did it based on the observation that you had earned it.

I can't do that. The money was sent to me for one purpose and one purpose only. I can't decide to redirect it. If you want to divert it to an emergency fund, you have to accept it and then start the emergency fund yourself.

Re: STOLEN!
Well, I'm a bit overwhelmed.
I know I find it a bit annoying when people are too old-fashioned and too proud to ask for help, or to accept it... So I guess I'll be bike shopping this week. I got a ride from a buddy yesterday, so I was already able to take care of the TP situation.
I promise to get back to getting more work done on the forum more once I get my feet (or wheels) back under me.

I'm glad you've accepted. But remember that you don't owe anyone anything, and no one expects you to work more on the forum or do anything else in exchange.

Re: STOLEN!
I've gotten enough to cover most of the cost of a bike, so I've closed the account; please don't send any more.
Thank you all again.
