Go in the Netherlands.... Antilles?

Hey folks, so I've been in Curacao now for the last couple weeks and will be for a long time yet.

Unfortunately, despite the veritable cornucopia of dutch speakers and a chinese immigrant population (And in my experience, the Dutch have a fondness for this game). I haven't found any resources online that would point to any players here on the island. I've started to teach co-workers, but that's a very long term investment.

Anyone on here have any leads? I could also really use an internet search by someone that can read and write Dutch.....

You might have good luck inviting people down to the caribbean to visit, with the caveat that they have to play a few games.

Sorry, not from Curacao, but native Dutch from The Netherlands here.
I will inquire at the Dutch Go Association - Nederlandse Go Bond NGoBfor you. Perhaps they know more and/or can help you out.

Curacao is only a small island (like The Netherlands is a small country). NGoB does not have a club registered in Willemstad or Curacao, but maybe you can be the local go contacts coordinator?

Which country are you from, originally?
Of course, you can play go online with your friends from home.

Thanks sybob! It doesn't have to be someone whom I can play at even (Which I can definitely do online), I just like to play in person sometimes.

Oh, absolutely, I'm still in the apartment my company set up. But hopefully I'll be moving in the next couple weeks to somewhere more permanent, at which point, I intend to pester anyone who will give me an ear.
