I'm getting that error page when following this link: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11205&start=20
Intermittent, no problem loading any other page when this happens. Has happened a handful of times in the past few days.

Re: Internal Service Error
how many posts per page are your personal forum settings? If its really high, you might try reducing it.

Re: Internal Service Error
Yeah, I started getting the error on multiple threads again so I dropped it to 10. Quick fix but eh, not good.

Re: Internal Service Error
yeah, its a common problem that's been plaguing this forum for years now. There are a number of threads about it already.
I believe and suspect its a problem with the database running out of connections, or running out of memory. Its hard to say exactly without looking at the logs. I suspect also that its a problem being on a shared host with other applications using the same database perhaps.
This problem creeps up from time to time until, I believe, the host owners reboot either the database, or the applications, or both. Then the problem goes away for a while, but eventually come back.
Reducing your posts per page is a workaround, and one that should not be necessary (and one that I really hate).

Re: Internal Service Error
Since it’s been a problem for a long time I assume it will have to do with … money. CPU time, connection number, memory, traffic load, all these are things that money can buy.
Consequently, some time ago I decided to support L19 by donating, and I hope that if enough people do so, some day things may improve.
