Reminded me a bit of this.
Also, in Germany many cities have "planetary paths", which is the solar system to scale (usually at a 1:1 billion ratio) along a footpath. And even though the whole solar system is about 6 kilometers at that ratio, single planets are mostly marble sized.

Powers of Ten

This is another great visualization for a child who loves space and/or math. My daughter watched it almost every day for a week recently.

Great video thanks for sharing. We have a a planet walk in town which shows the relative distances from the sun.

Hi hyperpape, Thanks

So cute and precious to see effects made by hand, not CG. :)

It's a pity we don't know if and what comes next to the smallest or greatest thing. Some supertiny things smaller than even a Planck-length (strings?)? Multiverses? Old man with a white beard giving high five to Jesus? I'd give 10 of my years away for knowing our absolute standpoint within the world.

I often imagine a hypothetic, ever-distant future where somebody looking in the strongest ever microscope and somebody looking in the ever-strongest telescope, and both see … each other’s eye!

Old man with a white beard giving high five to Jesus?
Old woman eating noodles?

I'd give 10 of my years away for knowing our absolute standpoint within the world.
I don't believe we can ever know this since there seems to be an ever-growing number of facts to know … with every new fact there come new questions, and sometimes many more than facts.
