send a message to the player played the last game

Post by multlurk »

How can I send a message to the player with whom I played the last game.
Client: GoPanda2 on mac os x.
Almost after each game the players with whom I played the last game send me a message "Thank you for the game." They do it very quickly. How can I write a quick post to the player with whom I played the previous game?

My guess would be that they're using a mobile client, it automatically sends messages at the start and end of the game, which is why you would see a lot of people saying "Hi!" as they play their first move. I don't know if there is any way to send quick messages, like the mobile client or like Tygem's

Also, I believe whether players greet eachother actually effects the rating points given for that game. If I wasn't on my mobile I'd link the page for that. Im guessing that's part of the reason why the mobile client greets automatically. Maybe also some kind of Japanese politeness?

From http://pandanet-igs.com/communities/pandanet/60#special:

When the player does not making a greeting within one minute of the start of the game, it becomes a loss. This game does not become a rating game, but the winner is given 50 points and the loser is penalized 50 points.

But it's under special games, I'm not sure if that affects rated games or not - it doesn't seem to by the context.
