I think the use of the word destroys is a little extreme. But welcome to the world of go anyway. Glad to see you joined us.

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Nice clickbait... as DrStraw said, hardly destroyed.
I am actually pretty certain that Lee played overplays on purpose in order to test the AlphaGo and see how strong it actually is.
Tomorrow we will probably see the true Lee Sedol.
I guess tomorrow Lee will win and then for the third game he will actually try to tease with the AlphaGo a little bit more (perhaps even losing) and then he will play the rest of 2 games and defeat the machine.
It is important not just to let Lee play against the bot but actually try to find out how strong it is.
