Recent club info downtown/west Chicago
I've recently become re-energized about go, but can't seem to find any local clubs. I know there are some clubs on the North side of Chicago/Evanston, but these are quite far from me. There used to be a club at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and another in Oak Park, but both seem to be gone. Does anyone have more up to date Chicago information?

This page is a listing of Illinois clubs known by the AGA: http://www.usgo.org/where-play-go?state=IL#listing
You might get some leads from some of the contacts on this list.

Re: Recent club info downtown/west Chicago
I know the Schaumburg (Starbucks at Streets of Woodfield on Thursday nights) and Evanston are quite active (AGA link from gowan). I haven't heard much outside that.
There's a google group (Chicago Area Go Clubs, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/chica-go-clubs) for it as well, and you might be able to get a few more responses from people there.
