Try Gamescape. Bob Hamilton sold me my first Go board forty years ago (in the old store) and has been on Divisidero for three decades.

Be careful about buying equipment from a general game store. Often the people running the store stock go sets with non-standard stone and board sizes, e.g. stones too small for the grid on the board.

Take a look at some Korean supermarkets if you have some near you.

I second this. I bought a board in a Korean Store in the DC area 20 years ago. It was 2 inches with legs and only cost me about $40. The cashier was very surprised that I knew what I was buying.
Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Re: Any stores with boards and stones in San Francisco Bay A
2019.07.05: Unnecessary update: I sent an inquiry to several of the San Francisco area go clubs asking if there were shops in the region where one might view and purchase go equipment. I emailed six clubs and I received responses from representatives of two: Quality go equipment is no longer available in the San Francisco regio. There may be unknown sources hidden in obscure neighborhoods but all of the good equipment was sold off long ago and shops are no longer able to economically replenish their inventories. Game shop proprietors and club officials refer go equipment inquiries to the major online and international sources.
