Re: Google DeepMind will release AlphaGo vs. AlphaGo Games
German DGoB forum user yaneth’s summary
- AlphaGo “thinks” that Lee Sedol has made mistakes in many places, [Fan Hui] shows variants which AlphaGo had expected.
- In a few weeks there will be a Web site with comments for the Lee Sedol vs. AlphaGo games and a few AG vs. AG games; comments will be by Gu Li und Zhou Ruiyang, in English, Chinese, Korean.

Re: Google DeepMind will release AlphaGo vs. AlphaGo Games
Something I found particularly interesting in the commentary on game 2 was AlphaGo's evaluation that the cut of 50 below was a mistake.
It expected the following sequence, Fan said Shi Yue 9p also advocated this atari. The blighting/broken shape of k4 perhaps makes this a blind spot for humans?
There was also a post on reddit (which I can't find now) of a guy who translated Lee Sedol's comments on the game, and the one mistake of his that he picked out to comment on was this cut of move 50, also saying he should have played the atari first. IIRC his diagram showed black connecting the 1 stone though so I don't know if and what he thought of AlphaGo's sequence. I think his plan was as below (black collapses, so he must have anticipated some countermeasure):

We are posting some AlphaGo commentaries (five Lee Sedol match games and four AlphaGo v18 vs. AlphaGo v18 self-play games) in few weeks after our website is done. The commentaries are edited by Fan Hui 2p with comments from Gu Li 9p and Zhou Ruiyang 9p based on a lot of AlphaGo's data. The commentaries will be free for download. You can find some slides on Fan Hui's talk at :
