I'm hearing rumors that it will be in San Diego.

The 2017 Congress is in San Diego August 5-12.
Congress Director is Ted Terpstra.

Probable location is Town and Country Resort & Convention Center

Thanks for the info. I keep hoping the congress will return to Colorado, though that seems to be on a ten year cycle. I started playing go in 2011, so I missed the 2010 congress in Colorado Springs.

Get to know the people of the local clubs who ran the congress the last time...you may become instrumental in bringing it back to Colorado :)

Probably also means higher cost so a lot of people will be dealt out.
Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

The Yelp reviews do not give me particularly high expectations, although maybe they're better when your baseline is tiny beds and dorm food.

Shame you are not using the USS Midway Museum. The Midway had a long distinguished time in Japan (over 18years). I know I learned to play Go while stationed on her.
