AlphaGo isn't mentioned in any announcement (yet) but from the form of the event it looks like exhibition/showdown matches more than usual professional tournament.

I tried finding information about this, but haven't had any luck yet. I did notice a post on the DC inside baduk forum (kind of like L19 for korean speakers), where the OP asked about this event. The post was deleted for some reason. I could read the cached question from the google search results, but there weren't any responses from that time.

This could be premature announcement that DeepMind really, really, doesn't want it to happen (like when Yang Jun'an, president of the Chinese Chess Association, announced at the press conference for the World Amateur Go Championship in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, on Saturday that Ke Jie will take part in the "ultimate Go match between human and AI" with AlphaGo within the year, according to the Xinhua News Agency.)

Given the next two rounds of Samsung Cup will be held on 10/4 and 10/6, this is very unlikely to involve AlphaGo with a top professional player.

but only 16 players are still in it, 2 of which I'm not sure we can call "top". Even accounting for the (probable) fact that they scheduled this before the last few days, there are only 32 possible players.

I mean I would totally call Meng Tailing a "top pro", and would be awesome if he gets to play AlphaGo.

Until/unless they open AlphaGo to all comers, I suspect that the fact that the first match was against Lee Sedol limits who the next match will be against. My instinct is that the next opponent has to be a world champion, ideally Ke Jie or Park Junghwan. There's intellectual interest in seeing more games against any very strong player, but my guess is that it doesn't match their plan for generating publicity to pick players who can't make a claim to be Lee's (current) equal.

That would be nice, and the national rivalries might be such that any of those players would generate great interest. But I think there's enough uncertainty about exactly how Iyama stacks up to the other top players that you can argue he shouldn't be next (and I'm one of the less skeptical people about goratings).

Live now on wbaduk there is a broadcast of some event with a title in Korean I can't read and player names "ofAlphaGo" and "ofGod". Maybe some homage to AlphaGo by humans?
