Pandanet Life and Death (versus) Tsumego Pro

Post by Gomoto »

I like both apps :-)

Pandanet Life and Death:

+ Very nice graphics
+ Time based ranking modus (3, 5 or 10 minutes to solve)
+ Good Problems
+ Problem solver included
+ Very motivating
+ Text on UI buttons (Go back one move, Back to first move, Check answer)

- Intransparent problem purchase options

Tsumego Pro:

+ Clean graphics (I prefer the Pandanet L&D look)
+ Transparent problem purchase options

- Icons on UI buttons

I would recommend both apps. What is your opinion on the two apps?

Pandanet Life and Death was listed as "Life and Death - Panda Sensei" for me. This seems to be somewhat new. I'll give it a try. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

On the "intransparent problem purchasing" - how does one purchase problems?

You have to buy "coins" to purchase problems (from 15 coins for 1$ to 120 coins for 5$).

For example 10 beginner problems cost 4 coins, 15 intermediate problems cost 9 coins, 10 high dan problems cost 10 coins, 5 pro Level cost 6 coins.

The problems are high quality in my opinion and worth purchasing. But as I said the pricing scheme is highly intransparent :-). What a pity but I dont bother ;-)

(You can try the app for free and there are free weekly problems.)

Thanks, I tried the Pandanet thingie … but it takes too many clicks and crashed after a few minutes … happily returning to Tsumego Pro :-)
