The latest CGOS standing:

Rayon RN3.9 certainly is the strongest open source AI. But the Oakfoam NG06 go AI also deserve a respectable place. NG06 beating the new Leela in the ranking.
In my own testing, NG06 with dual core linux with 1 GPU (GTX 1050) is very strong, possibly at DGS 4 dan level. Here is the DGS NG06 bot I set up:

Right now NG06 only ranked at 3 dan at DGS, I think it can continue to rise 1 stone stronger at current setting.
NG06 (Oakfoam) is 2nd Strongest Open Source Go AI

Oakfoam Bot already lost a few games at new settings. I think the strength is likely only at 3 dan at DGS

Re: NG06 (Oakfoam) is 2nd Strongest Open Source Go AI
Like with Ray I am able to compile it but it don't run. It requires coffe. Coffe requires other things which require other things. There is no readme explaining what is needed to install. It is hard even for an average user who has a few programming skills to make this programs run. When I tried to install Dark Forrest I nearly smashed my system. I give up and wait for engines with clear and easy install instructions. Anyway thanks for the people here trying to help

NG06 new Oakfoam Bot rank rose to 4 dan at DGS. Oakfoam Bot is the 2nd strongest robot in DGS beating the new leela on rankings.

Hi,
I just had a try at Oakfoam, and so far, it seems GnuGo plays better on my computer. So there must be something wrong there.
I got Oakfoam from there: https://bitbucket.org/francoisvn/oakfoam/wiki/Install (Oakfoam 0.2.1)
I set up 3 matches against Gnugo:
So what did I miss?

I set up 3 matches against Gnugo:
- First game, Oakfoam ran on only one thread (my computer runs two cores are 3Ghz), and not opening book => GnuGo won
- Second game, Oakfoam ran on two threads, and not opening book => GnuGo won
- Third game, Oakfoam ran on two threads, and used the Pachi opening book => GnuGo won
So what did I miss?
I am the author of GoReviewPartner, a small software aimed at assisting reviewing a game of Go. Give it a try!

I set up 3 matches against Gnugo:I did not set up a time limit, so GnuGo was playing instantly (as usual...) and Oakfoam was taking around 5s per move.

You are running a very old oakfoam version. Try the NG06 latest version here:
