weak game ?

Post by otenki »

Hey guys,

My opponent said at the end of my game that I was weak.
I'm a 1k on kgs and played a 0.5 komi game with 1d.
In my observation if I played 180 at e4 black will be good right since white has to capture the center stones @j7; black can go back and fix the cut.
After that black should be ahead by 10 ?

Well normaly I don't really care about if my oponents think that I'm not very good but he got me thinking... what moves made it seem I was so weak?
So I wonder, which moves do you think is the really weak ones ?

Thanks,
Otenki (shakenaji)

Weakish moves (IMO, OC)

:b9: Why not the jump attachment at P-05?

:b27: Why not the jump attachment at Q-14? If White hanes, crosscut.

:b53: Better at M-15, no?

:b79: I don’t know if this is weak, but it may be an overplay. Isn’t the top side big now?

:b83: Consistent with :b79:, but it allows :w84:.

:b85: Cedes thickness to White, when Black should attack the central White group.

Black 105: You’ve got to be kidding.

Black 115: Attack the White center! It is bigger than saving this group.

Black 119: Strengthens White.

Black 121: Weakens Black.

Black 123: Overplay, I think.

Black 143: You’ve got to be kidding.

Black 151: I don’t know if this is weak, but how about capturing the single stone and then, if White saves his stones on the bottom, play D-11?

I don’t know why your opponent called your play weak, but you make tactical plays that leave weaknesses behind. That’s surprising for someone of your strength.
