I'm also from the GD with same name. But that was a year ago and now I'm kinda back in to playing go and getting stronger. I think that was the time when I finally reached the SDK. And now I want to become a dan but that will still be a long way I guess.

I see here that there are some people on the 6-4k ranks so yay! (let's play some time XD)

Howdy, and welcome. Yeah, it seems to me like we're in one of the rank ranges where it's easiest to find lots of opponents. Enjoy =D
