We have great news. When we saw that new AlphaGo videos were Chinese-only, we petitioned for permission to put them on the AGA Youtube channel and to add subtitles. Happily WeiqiTV said yes, so the Western world will have access without fear of a takedown request.
We would like to assemble a small team of Chinese-to-English translators and subtitlers to accomplish this. U/sweetkarmajohnson has already volunteered, but he can't do it alone. So please reply if you are interested in helping.
Our goal is to use a collaborative process to create subtitles that translate the go-specific content very accurately, and the jokes and banter in spirit.
Contributors will be acknowledged in the video information.

I never seriously considered learning Chinese or Japanese before learning to play Go -- but since then there's been several occasions where I'm disappointed I can't understand either language!
