Just kidding of course, but my daughter is on the living room floor playing with the electronic chess “tutor” she got from her grandparents for her birthday.

AlphaZero has led me back to chess after a long hiatus. Perhaps your daughter’s journey will go in the other direction. 
Of course, I will be thrilled as a parent if my daughter’s “rebellion” is choosing chess instead of go as her intellectual game of choice.

I bought a set of go stones (the previous set was scattered by my children), which my son excitedly arranged on the go board.
After he went to bed, my daughter and I played our first real game. I can’t find the 9x9 board, so we played 19x19.
