8mm sized stones

Post by Glummie »

Are 8mm sized stones wobbly and are they smaller in size as in they would not look messy on the board when there is a huge fight going on

8mm glass perfect size for 3cm goban, or diy board. Not very wobbly, nice to handle.

There are no rules about what board thickness goes with what stone thickness. You are free to use any size you want on your 3 cm board. As for 8mm glass vs. 8mm slate and shell, I think they will be comparable but probably the stone thickness would be more consistent with the slate and shell. The thickness of so-called 8mm glass stones I have seen varies somewhat.
