Leela Zero versus Zen 7 ...

Post by Gomoto »

... and the winner is Leela Zero at 20 sec per move.

(Intel I5 2500k & Nvidia 1080Ti)

(Zen did not see the defeat until late in the game.)

Game 2:

Zen 7 (20 sec. p. move) versus Leela Zero (10 sec. p. move)

I like this game very much. An intense battle of the two dargon masters. Leela Zero outplays Zen very nicely and displays quite a Ko fighting strength in this one.

How low can I go with the time settings for Leela Zero on my local box?

How blessed am I, to have these two master teachers available.

(Probably a mistake that Zen 7 was released without GPU support.)

Is it possible you let Zen continue with Black here and LeelaZero with White with at least 30s per move. I wonder how Leela does in a slightly suboptimal fuseki.

Why Zen versus Leela? I have to put in the moves by hand :)

I just would like to know if Leela can win as White against Zen as black in this setup. I thought maybe you could just let them play from move 5 onwards...otherwise it's a little bit complicated. :)

Sorry I am not interested at plays in the middle of the side in the opening stage. Too passive, only corners and approach moves make the cut for me. ;-)

It may look like that, but it's actually very aggressive, because the splitting stone supports all kinds of daring maneuvers in the vincinity.

And before I saw them both in the same thread I thought Gomoto might have been the reincarnation of Pippen!

Antichinese opening (Not necessary, because chinese opening is bad )

Wow, did LeelaZ play White and win? I am impressed how easypeasy Leela did with such an argueable suboptimal opening.

Antichinese debunked by Leela Zero (10 sec.) Black versus Zen 7 (20 sec.) White.

Leela Zero shows quite some shinogi abilities to support the early 3-3 invasion.
