Really? I see it quite clearly blue.
Yes, really. Displays are generally not calibrated to some absolute universal standard.
( An exception: graphics professionals who have their displays professionally calibrated, because their livelihood depends on it. )

Not to mention every organism's different light receptor cells and neurons. :)

In any case, neither of us sees the stated grey.

Nitpicky suggestion:
  • The Blooms territory arrow is clear and unambiguous ;
  • The Go territory arrow is less... ( you elaborate in following text ) ;
  • Perhaps an (almost) unconditionally alive :white: shape is better than a locally dead :white: shape... ? (I use a vertical shape consistent with your webpage flow)

Good point. I'm going to make some revisions this weekend, and I'll work on that image then.

Looks interesting. I'd be interested in a set if you get to the KickStarter stage.

I just noticed that the example game has an opening that looks rather like a Catchup opening. I wonder if you think that's coincidence, a result of you playing/inventing Catchup in the past, or indicative of a connection?

Heh. Yep. I'm the inventor of Catchup.
