but in the game he played the second loosing move (S19 achieves nothing, the corner is already alive, and the senseless move therefore offers the game to white) ...

Go Seigen likes the mukai komoku for White.

It looks like White should not answer Black's first low approach. Probably he should enclose the other corner, eh?

Edit: And the after Black approaches the second corner low, White should definitely not play the two space low pincer against that stone. viewtopic.php?p=233674#p233674
