Amazon resellers

Post by Jujube »

Hi

Buying a present for my better half from our shared bank account. If I buy from a reseller on Amazon, what gets printed on our online banking / bank statement? Is it a payment to Amazon or will it show the specific name of the reseller?

I don't want to spoil the surprise :)

Try to use Amazon's real-time text chat with a human (sometimes in India, depeding on the time of day?) to ask them this specific question.

( I don't know about a bank statement; but I think, not absolutely sure, that a credit card statement would show Amazon, as long as you go through Amazon's website and use their 'Place Order' button. )

3rd party sellers on Amazon never see your CC info. Amazon handles all CC transaction under their name.

Those people are morons, and when they don't know the answer, often they make it up.

That's one opinion, and maybe people have had some bad experience with them. But I've had good experience with them; at least I don't recall any particularly bad experience with them.

I'm glad they have a 24/7 live chat. Not all companies do this. And it seems a very natural area where deep learning systems can help a lot (re: Watson, Siri, Alexa, g.Assistant, power-grids management(Google), medicine, etc.)
