Scandinavian books wanted!

Hello folks,


I have recently read '' History of Denmark '' and I got interested in Scandinavian literature but the problem is that I can't find the names of any famous Scandinavian writers or books - maybe they are hiding from me So will you please recommend me some interesting Scandinavian books, or just related to that topic.

Seriously? You haven't come across, say, Knut Hamsun, Nobel prize-winning Norwegian author, just to name one?

Assuming that you count Finland as part of Scandinavia (as Gresil seems to do), I would suggest the books by Mika Waltari. The Egyptian is the most famous (it has been filmed, too), but others are equally enjoyable,

These are by a Finnish author, but not about Finland.
