Did Andrii Kravets and Tanguy LeCalve win another game to get to this stage? I see Ali Jabarin is gone, so there was probably another round between the July 2nd post and this one.
My July 2nd post had the 8 winners from the first round of the world group, and the adjacent pairs played each other in round 2.

When Lee Yeonggu drew his lot, there was a loud reaction from the crowd.

Poor Choi Jeong: she was on course for another win vs a top man but one slightly greedy and thin move in early endgame and Chen Yaoye made a picnic ko inside her territory and the game reversed.

Ke Jie and Shin Jinseo won quickly as expected. Kyo Kagen lost. Iyama is doing well.

Good to see Seo Bongsoo taking advantage of his draw and advance. The form almost all held in the first round; believe the only lower-rated player (by GoRatings) to win is Tang Weixing, who had been in a deep slump since November of last year, but this is Samsung Cup where he has always performed well.

Tang Weixing's winning of this game is so his 'muddy' style.

Seo Bongsoo is 66 years old and probably the oldest player win a game in main tournament of majors.
He said AI helped him a lot.

I like the fact that Samsung Cup is going non-stop and will decide its champion within a week.

So 5 Chinese vs 3 Koreans? Yang Dingxin seems to be in fine form - he's up to 4th in the world rankings. If he continues to do well here, he might become the 4th player to break through 3600 line.
