How is my positional judgment?

Post by Gomoto »

This is just a simple post about me:

I am not using my positional judgment.

I dont count.
I dont think territory.
I dont care about influence.

I just play move by move. Trying to avoid weaknesses. Striving for efficient moves, efficient shapes. When everything is settled I just play a great knights move or five of them if possible. That is my kind of positional play.

I am no expert by any means and make many mistakes and bad moves while doing so. But sometimes less than the other player.

I enjoy go playing this way.

I love go by the way. I love to loose and refine my moves next time too.

positional move 59: great knights move

move 93: I was tempted to think positional, I played a move that seemed ugly to me and my hairs went up into the sky while making the move (I dont care if one can say this in english), but in the end I could have saved me the positional judgment troubles, the other option would have worked as well.

(I wrote this post for myself in the first place.)

I forgot to mention.

I DO care about sente. Or at least about what I think is sente :D

Edit:
I also realize that I want to play moves that feel good to me and struggle to not have to play any "unpleasant" moves (like 93 in the game). I enjoy how this feeling is more of a help to my play nowadays.
