Here are last year's resolutions:

This was a success, I gained about 2 stones in every rating system, so my goal for 2020 is again to improve by 1 stone or more. The theme will be: reading. So my goal for 2019 is more modest: gain at least 1 stone.
- Practicing problems: so far I have practiced a lot of life and death problems, but the improvement rate is becoming very slow, so I plan to spend more time on tesuji: currently working on "graded go problems for dan players vol. 2". Even though the title says "for dan players", it looks like mid-SDK players who have finished Davis' book can take profit from it.
- Playing games: reading may be difficult due to time pressure, but at least: do not play without reading several moves deep and without checking alternative moves; try to use almost all the byo-yomi period.
- Watching pro or high-dan games: try to read as deep as possible. It doesn't matter if the variations are correct or not, the point is to train "reading muscles". Accuracy will hopefully come later.

1. Play more games.
2. Learn how to accept that I will make stupid mistakes and stop getting so mad at myself when I do.
Same as last year

1. Organise the local annual go tournament.
2. Organise a go-booth or something similiar at a Japan/manga/anime-related fair.
3. Don't drop below 3-kyu EGF.

To not play in the British championship unless I have improved to have a realistic prospect of doing better than recent years.

Uberdude: if I remember correctly, you said you were ill during match 2 and were out of practice. So maybe you don't need to improve in order to win but just to warm-up before, ideally with a tournament with similar time settings. If it's impractical to play a tournament, perhaps some people with similar level would be willing to play a few matches on the internet with the same time settings.
