EGF grand prix finale
The EGF grand prix finale is underway which features 16 of the top Europeans who earned points at tournaments over the last year. Details at https://eurogofed.org/EuropeanGrandPrix/egpf2019.html, some games are broadcast on KGS by EGF1-3. Based on his winning the London Open this forum's dhu was invited. Against such tough position I thought he could probably get a win against a 6 dan, but he did even better and beat 2 euro pros, Pavol Lisy 2p and Tanguy le Calve 1p! He lost to Stanislaw Frejlak 7d but goes through to the quarter finals where he plays Ben DG 6d tomorrow at 9am GMT. Winner of that plays Artem or Nikola, Ilya is in the other half the draw and was the only one to win all 3 in the group stage.

Mateusz beat Stanislaw in the all-Polish semi-final so the final is Artem Vs Mateusz. Daniel gets a rematch with Stanislaw for 3rd place.
