The game record is at viewtopic.php?f=13&t=16528&p=253694#p253694

Will be interested to see your take on Park's B16. That's a very strange move that looks like a blunder, but even blunders are usually played for a reason so I'm struggling to understand why he would play it, isn't the obvious c19 better? Could it be:
- He misread and thought white c19 was gote rather than threatening a ko, because if so b16 leaves fewer ko threats?
- If b13 came back to life in a ko then it makes a14 endgame not as big for white.

As I have said in my video, B16 is definitely a mistake.^^

But if you want to know why he played there, only he could know the main reason. Haha!

From my experience, due to the pressure of competition, players might have strange or weird thoughts appeared in their mind at that moment and they will play some moves that they will never play in normal games. It just happens.

Btw BadukDoctor, I think I just recognised you, are you Park Young-un (sorry if I didn't spell it quite right) Korean 7d who used to be a teacher at BIBA? I was a student there back in summer 2013. If so I still remember losing a 6 stone blitz game to you (after I'd beaten On Sojin 7p on 6 stones). Nice to see you making Go videos, your English has improved!
best wishes,
Andrew (4d from England).

Yes, I am Park Youngwoon ^^ I remembered we even went to the sea (or beach?) together in July 2013 before I went to Hong Kong, right?

Yes, that's right. I remember we ate some purple sea urchins.
