The ? is easy to get rid of. Just play 3 or 4 games with an appropriately rated bot. They're not picky.

I always hate this advice. If I don't have time to play very much, I don't want to waste it playing against a bot. I come online to play people.

Usually I will refuse all their challenges. I do accept stronger or even payers with a "~".
"~" people are the leeches of the KGS server.
i don't think you can see ~ from stongers even they have it.
