Trying to get a grasp on this AI move suggestion:

It removes a ko threat for black and white looses two ko threats?
What is your take on the move?
Is my assessment about ko threats wrong?

(Perhaps it is about prohibiting a potential exchange of the black B2 group and the white K3 group?)

If you play g1 now, it is not sente, because if you then attach at e1 black can still live, albeit small, with a1 classic tsumego tesuji. Black doesn't mind living small because in that variation g1 is inefficient as black got a free move outside.
If you play e1 attach now, and black answers with a1 to live again, then white won't play g1 gote move next but f1 atari, black connects, and white reduced black to a small life keeping sente. If black answers e1 at f1 (better) then black can live with more points, but white gets g1 in sente which provides some help in the connection between the 2 groups.
