Tromp & Taylor whereabouts

Post by John Fairbairn »

I have had a request from someone who wants to get in touch with John Tromp and/or Bill Taylor, concerning their ruleset.

I don't know either of them personally and haven't seen any activity by either of them for decades. Does anyone know if they are still active and how I can get in touch? I have found an e-mail address for Tromp on his home page, but that page looks very ancient and it's a gmail address, which in my experience is an address people use when they don't really want to be contacted.

If you have a gmail address, it may well be current. I think gmail addresses have become fairly mainstream, not just as some spam catching address.

I have met John Tromp a couple of times (he is a Dutch go player). I don't have his e-mail address, but I can probably find out.

By the way, I cannot PM you when I have it. Did you block PM?

You might try https://go.org.nz/index.php/clubs/christchurch-go-club if the email address there should still be active.

I contacted John Tromp via the e-mail address that can be found at https://tromp.github.io/ and he responded in less than an hour.
