Go players on the Faroe Islands?
This might be a somewhat odd request, but my husband and I are going on a vacation to the Faroe Islands in August and we wondered if there were any Go players living there who might be interested in a game or two? Or maybe someone knows somebody who lives there? We already tried the EGD and baduk.club with no success, so maybe there really isn't anybody there, but maybe we're wrong. Would be fun to meet new people there.

I don't think there are Go players in the Faroes but if there are then I'd like to know them too. At least I don't recall anyone saying that they know one, but this game is more popular than many people give it credit and there could well be some Faroese Go players somewhere.

Exactly our thinking. I grew up in a town which was about the size of Tórshavn (probably even a bit smaller). When I gradated from school, we were a little over a dozen Go players, most of us playing in the same school club. Anything is possible via internet these days.kvasir wrote:I don't think there are Go players in the Faroes [...] but this game is more popular than many people give it credit and there could well be some Faroese Go players somewhere.
