Possible low-kyu sandbagger

Post by tekesta »

I played a couple of games against this player on OGS and I lost rather terribly. I looked at the profile and didn't see any lost games. As well, the strongest challenging player see there is 6k. Any chance it might be a sandbagger's account?

It would be more useful to report this to an OGS admin than it is to post a link to the profile here, but it sure looks like someone has played 400+ games, mostly since July, with kyu players or unranked players and won against everyone except a few unranked players that later turned out to be dan players. There doesn't seem to be a "report" button but I think the admins are purple in the OGC chat rooms.

Reviewed several of his games; seems to be a shodan making fun of people. Occasionally he screwed up too, but still managed to win easily. I am OGS 1d too; and I played just like that when opponents are 5-6 levels below (including Bots) ;-)

I noticed you got joseki wrong many times, maybe that's where you want to improve first.

You can report a user by clicking on the user name, and then a red button "report" appears. However this user has a "?" rank and only plays unrated games, this doesn't break the rules. If you don't want to lose badly against such users, you can just avoid unrated games.
