Re: Programs on android
I used several Android Go Apps recently in an attempt to review SGF game records on the go. All of them have some issue here or there. Since Sabaki was just mentioned, I found the UI to be pretty bad. I find the aesthetics to be the best of the PC Go software and that does carry over to Android. But unfortunately the PC UI is not so great and the Android UI is even worse . I found the Pandanet app to be the best for reviewing games (automatic play, etc) https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... n_US&gl=US
I was just reviewing plain SGFs without commentary. I found android to be pretty lacking as for good commentary UI and functions.
If anyone finds an Android program they like to use for reviewing SGF records, please let me know.
----------
Incidentally I'm using Apple iOS, which has it's own set of shortfalls, and still struggling to find a good program. I did check out Smart Go but they want you to individually import every SGF record, which is annoying.

Seconding this. I have not found anything for Android that will give a sensible display of a tree of variations.CDavis7M wrote:If anyone finds an Android program they like to use for reviewing SGF records, please let me know.

Re: Programs on android
Hactar Go is pretty good for reviewing SGFs, can be found from Google Play. It has server-based AI analysis, and even more powerful analysis with a subscription.
