correction: sequences of moves that repeat twice result in a draw unless it doesn't involve a capture of more than 1 stone in which case it results in a loss for the side that played the first move in the sequence. ---> sequences of moves that repeat twice result in a draw unless no more than 1 stone per turn was captured in the sequence, in which case the game is scored immediately as is, or if it doesn't involve a capture of more than 1 stone throughout the entire sequence, in which case it results in a loss for the side that played the first move in the sequence.
I don't understand why people claim that the shenanigans of Japanese rules have anything to do with it using territory scoring. Removing the possibility of passes from territory scoring makes it just as convenient as area scoring during play. I've waited for years but no one has explained to me how this view could be inaccurate, therefore from now I shall presume it as a likely fact perhaps overlooked or most likely ignored by most people for some weird reason I don't understand, until I brought it up the past few years.

Re: "Fantasy" Go Tournament
Based on my initial idea in 2014,
Each region would send an even number of male and female players: China 8 Korea 8 Japan 8 Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau 8 Rest of Asia 8 Americas 8 Europe 8 Oceania, Pacific and Africa 8
To determine the seeding, each territory selects a player to play against each other territory, with the seeding for each country determined by the territories with the most wins being given higher seeds with 8 from the territory with the most wins will have the 1st seeds and so on . . . Then in the knockout, players a paired with the higher seeds playing lower seeds with same gender pairings avoided.
day 1 round of 64 30 minutes + 1*5 second fischer
day 1 round of 32 60 minutes + 1*10 seconds びょ 読み
day 2 round of 16 3 hours + 3*30 seconds びょ 読み
day 3 round of 8 5 hours + 5*50 second びょ 読み
From day 1 to day to to day 3 those who are knocked out play in a swiss held simultaneously, with time limits increasing per round as according to the knockout tournament
At another date organised, the semi finals and finals are held, with them being single games with the weaker player determining the colours, the stronger players being the one with the better international tournament record the preceding 365 days, Semi finals are 8 hours * 8*88 seconds びょ 読み, Final is 9 hours + 9*99 seconds びょ 読み
edit 2024 Jan 18: completely forgot to add the 三四TV CUP idea: 日本棋院, 関西棋院, 韓国棋院, 二中棋院, submit to each other a list of the 24 of their pros with the highest prize money ranking that year. Then, the list is combined into 96, and after converting currencies at the start of the April 1st markets, the top 24 pros with the top prize money ranking across all the major Asian associations play in a knockout with the familiar time controls 1*30sec + 10*<60sec, at K바둑

Re: "Fantasy" Go Tournament
Sent sometime around January
Dear 조선일보 and LG and Lotte、
LG stages an international 田石(바둑) tournament every year、and while it makes sense for china to have their own preliminaries、the 韓国棋士、台湾 and日本 preliminaries would make more sense combined into an integrated preliminaries for 韓国棋士 and 台湾棋士 and 日本棋士 together in 韓国。To make scheduling easier、instead of having the preliminaries for every slot on the same date、it would be better to have half of the places on one set of dates、and the other half on a different set of dates possibly set by Taiwan and 日本。As in the main tournament、it should also be in the preliminaries pairings between 棋士 that play in the same country should be avoided、and if that can’t be avoid、avoid pairing 棋士 that play in the same region of the country they play in、but if a 棋士 is a citizen of a country but plays in a different country、pairings between that 棋士 and citizens of the country the 棋士 is from should be prioritised。This becomes more important as the CCP gains in power everyday、and one of it’s threats is absorption and appropriation of 韓国n culture、in fact I believe the best way to reign in the DPRK is to make them feel that if they oppose and weaken South 韓国、日本 and Taiwan、and strengthen the fake china of the CCP、soon the CCP will start appropriating 韓国n culture more aggressively、so 韓国 and 日本 should revive a shared Manchurian identity as a countermeasure、but this time with South 韓国 in the leadership position instead of 日本、and LG and Lotte can be leaders in this。
One cultural note about 田石(바둑) is that 韓国 used to learn from 日本、but since the 1990’s 日本 learns from 韓国、but there are still aspects of the 日本 way that 韓国 could learn from。The preliminaries for All 7 major 日本ese tournaments are at least 3 hours and 1 minute per move。But the longest domestic main tournament is an underwhelming 2 hours。From the perspective of those outside of 韓国、it makes it seem like 韓国 doesn’t value the intellect of their 棋士 much、and it is an excuse to claim the modern era Since Long form podcasts have become popular。People consume content differently、but it’s a myth that only short form content is getting popular。General、non-personal content is becoming more short form、but in content were there could be more devout fanbases for a particular person or topic、long form content has actually become more popular、so being aware of which form of online content one is competing with according to time limits is the aware way to go about things、and ignoring longer form games is as bad as ignoring short form games。Because unlike 日本、韓国 has a channel devoted but、in the Age of the internet、longer form content is not only possible、but advised for growth as podcasts have exploded in popularity、and while short time TV 田石(바둑) competes with gaming and sports broadcasts、long time 田石(바둑) competes with podcasts and should follow that commentary form。Saying that games with 3 hour time limits are too long for the endurance of 棋士 is completely inaccurate when 日本棋士 regularly play games with 3 hour time limits、and the top 日本棋士 play an even higher amount of games that include 5 hour per side games and sometimes series of 7 games with 8 hours per side、so it’s quite insulting to say a circle of time of 3 hours per side is something 韓国棋士 can’t fit themselves into、if anything、the high amount of games set too late at night for 韓国棋士 is what could be the actual health threat。LG and Lotte could pave the way forward for 韓国 in this regard、and it would be hard to copy in the short term without an overall mindset shift。
私 would also like to ask about the possibility of a win and continue tournament between 韓国 and 日本 with 10 棋士 each initially including 5 女流棋士 each、excluding 棋士 that qualified for the previous 農心杯、and sister a tournament where 棋士 in Taiwan play with Taiwanese citizen 棋士 in 日本 with the same format、but in the 韓国 日本 tournament、every time one side wins、the winner increases the number of 女流棋士 by 1、and the loser reduces the number of 女流棋士 by 1、So after the first tournament、next year the previous winner has 10棋士 including 6 女流棋士、and the previous side to lose has 10棋士 女流棋士。Sorry that it isn’t quite possible for me to articulate at my best at the moment、
감사합니다 ありがとうございますですね、Yours Sincerely、Elom Hycy agotogkpeKushiator mumayazWillson
