Journalism battle

Post by Javaness2 »

Which style do you prefer and why? The recent IAPGC elicited two articles from the pockets of some of the greatest journalists in the western world, whilst the AGA website merely published a short one liner "Man and woman sweep field in Tokyo hotel" [1].

I prefer the style where you see a game record, or at least an excerpt, with an interesting example of where pair go might bring about situations that you wouldn't see in solo go.

I think the EGF articles are hands down better. Our go publications should be about building a community rather than just reporting that some player (or pair) won a game somewhere over the ocean. Milena's article is top notch.

I enjoyed Milena's article very much. It is always a pleasure to read her reports.
If I see one, I click on it with a lot of positive anticipation in advance.
