The book gives a description of what a Go board looks like, and says that in the middle (on the tengen) of a go board there's a Taiji (Yin-Yang) symbol. All the diagrams have the symbol. It looks really cute. I kinda want a board like that, honestly
I've never seen such a board, not even on my Go-oriented trip to Beijing. What's the story? Was such symbolism discouraged by the Communists, or did it just go out of style between 1929 and today? Has anyone seen a board like that?
