Opening Books Opinion

Post by Jash »

Hello guys,

Can anyone tell me which of those two books is better (or more complete):

- New Openings of the 21st Century
- A Dictionary of Modern Fuseki: The Korean Style

I want to buy one of them (or maybe both if they are complementary), and i need some help to decide which one is the best :D !

Thx in advance for anyone who can help!

i have ...korean style book but i dont think this is very good book. Maybe from teoretical side. But i heard that 21 century is more complete. I saw some pages and i like it better. More explanation about situation. But if you beginner think about opening theory made easy rather than joseki book.
sorry for my english - im Marsian

- New Openings of the 21st Century
There is currently 2 volumes to this series translated by Yutopian. The openings shown are much newer than the other book you are considering. Also includes new joseki.

- A Dictionary of Modern Fuseki: The Korean Style
Quite an interesting look at popular fuseki. Think of this as a bridge between the Rin Kaiho Fuseki dictionary and the New Openings of the 21st Century in terms of timing.
